The Chamber Lunch & Learn Series, presented by Southwestern Michigan College, is a free monthly event exclusively for Chamber Members. Each session dives into the current challenges and trends shaping the region, featuring insights from industry experts and a taste of local cuisine through diverse catering options from the Niles region.

Join us March 11th at Southwestern Michigan College's Niles Campus at 33890 US-12 Niles, Room 134 for a facilitated conversation focused on accessible, practical uses of artificial intelligence with enFocus. 

enFocus is a local non-profit organization serving the Southwest Michigan region. With an aim to attract and retain talent through community engagement, enFocus provides civic and industry partners with the capacity to envision and implement their strategic priorities. enFocus does this through a Fellowship program which, since inception, has attracted over 1500 individuals to support over 715 projects.

Artificial intelligence is rapidly becoming part of everyday work, offering new ways to improve efficiency, enhance decision-making, and reduce time spent on manual tasks. Many organizations are challenged with decisions to identify what tools are worth exploring and how to use AI in ways that are responsible and genuinely useful.

The enFocus presentation and discussion will highlight how organizations are using AI today in ways that are realistic, accessible, and aligned with operational needs.

Participants will explore questions such as:

  • Where can AI add value in day-to-day work right now?
  • What are practical, low-barrier entry points for getting started?
  • How are organizations using AI responsibly and effectively?
  • What mindsets, safeguards, and structures support successful adoption?
