The Chamber Buzz presented by Everwise Credit Union is a free monthly breakfast for members that will feature updates from elected officials, community leaders, new chamber members, and special guests. New for 2026, the series will be hosted at the Berrien RESA Bertrand Innovation Center (BIC), doors open at 8:00am on the first Wednesday of the month from February through November.
Dan Fette has served as the Community Development Director for Berrien County since 2005. In this role, he oversees and administers the County’s planning functions, housing programs, transportation systems, recycling and solid waste policies, and economic development initiatives.
He also serves as the appointed Director and Administrator of the County’s Brownfield Redevelopment Authority, Land Bank Authority, Economic Development Corporation, and Board of Public Works.
During his tenure, Dan and his staff have financed and managed more than one hundred million dollars in public improvements and economic development projects throughout Berrien County. These efforts include the Harbor Shores project; construction and expansion of water and sewer systems in New Buffalo, Berrien Springs, Benton Township, and Royalton Township; and more than thirty million dollars in blight elimination programs county-wide.
Dan is a 1992 graduate of St. Joseph High School and holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Wisconsin and a law degree from Wayne State University. He and his wife, Jessica, an attorney specializing in estate, probate, and municipal law, live in St. Joseph Township with their daughter.
